The Salt Lake City metro area is centered on Salt Lake City, Utah. It comprises two counties: Salt Lake and Tooele. As of 2014, there were about 1,153,300 residents. At that time, it was the 48th largest MSA in the United States and the 58th fastest growing since 2010.
