What you'll be doing

  • Work with Getaround's launch team to launch and manage your own market
  • Initiate creative local marketing strategies and user growth campaigns, experimenting with how to grow car supply and renters

Getaround is looking for a hands-on AP/AR Manager to round out our financial operations. You’ll be the gatekeeper for all transactions entered into our accounting system. You’ll assist us in building analytical tools to track budgeted vs. actual results, and standardize our cash management processes to facilitate timely and accurate financial reporting to support our rapidly expanding startup. This role requires strong operational prowess, and will be focused on building scalable processes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all AP/AR functions including: cash reconciliations, trip billing and recoverables tracking, car owner payments, payroll, vendor billing and inventory tracking, as well as other non-recurring items; ensuring that all transactions are accurately processed and recorded on time
  • Facilitate timely reporting of budgeted vs. actual results, including performance and/or review of Getaround's reconciliations of accounts payable, payroll, parking activity, owner payments, claims activity and other recoverable cost activity
  • Assist in the management of our credit card facility, including transaction monitoring and monthly reconciliations, as well as processing employee expense reimbursements
  • Prepare financial statements for regular consumption and review by our executive team

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience performing and supporting transaction processing; ideally for a fast-growing software/internet company
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP, including experience preparing audited GAAP financial statements
