SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — January 28, 2022 — Getaround, the world’s leading global and digital car sharing marketplace, announced today that Getaround Founder & Executive Chairman Sam Zaid has returned to the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), which he held from the company’s founding until the end of 2020. Getaround Board Member Karim Bousta who was CEO during 2021 will remain involved in the company and on the Board as the company continues executing its ambitious growth strategy to connect safe, convenient and affordable cars with people who need them to live and work, and propel the world’s transition to a more sustainable society, economy and environment.
