"My experience renting the Tesla in LA from Dr. Taras was fantastic. Renting Ian's car feels like a cross between visiting your old college roommate and meeting the US Secretary of Energy all in the same visit. And really, if you want to borrow a friend's old Apple II computer, wouldn't you want that friend to be Steve Wozniak? The car is breathtaking, polished black and immaculate. It stood in stark contrast to Ian's relaxed demeanor, wearing a white t-shirt and Tesla visor. Yes, he knew his stuff, and he knew that car. "It's meant to be driven, don't be scared of it" he assured me and my 14-yr-old son, who thought that an angel from heaven had literally descended upon us in the form of that shiny black race car. (and no, he didn't drive it, OMG) At 14 yrs old, you care about 3 things in life: girls, bling & cars. So as the proud owner of a Nissan Leaf, I thought I'd up the ante on my respect for electric vehicles by renting the Tesla instead of a Porsche or Ferrari gas guzzler. I was NOT disappointed; neither was he. In fact, he recommended I make Ian offer he couldn't refuse to buy it on the spot. Well, I applaud his enthusiasm anyway. We took the car through the city, around the foothills and eventually out to Santa Monica. I got lost and didn't care. I was having too much fun. I lived for the on-ramps to the highway, where I could floor it for a couple of seconds, which is all it takes, to get it to 80mph or so. I got scared at 110 and let off; there was pedal left. Great car, great experience, totally worth the money. You're in for a treat!!"

"Our experience renting a Tesla Roadster from Ian was nothing short of perfect. It’s easy to reign superlatives when you’re having a rock star experience in a car like the Roadster, but Ian also really went the extra mile to make the day a great one. He was very easy to communicate with over phone and email, he was flexible and helpful with the pickup and dropoff, and most importantly was very supportive when there were bumps in the road. This was our first time renting through Getaround, and so we were initially nervous about having such an impressive (and expensive) car. While Ian clearly loves his very cool car, he was also just what you want in someone that’s sharing that car with you. He knew how the car runs, the easiest ways to travel and charge it, and how to have fun with it when it’s yours. The Roadster itself is everything you’d want. Absurdly fast, great torque even at high speeds, and you’re treated like a rock star everywhere you go. We had multiple people taking pictures of us, gawking, asking questions - this car isn’t for the shy. In the end, it was just icing on the cake for a really unforgettable experience."
